Our Father in Heaven… Blessed are you for presenting us with the birth of a new and explosive “Golden Boy” from Mercedes, the Mercedes A45 AMG!
The images are still “hot” and before you read everything about this German wonder, I strongly advise you to see all the photos. There's nothing like washing your eyes before reading a text full of "spicy" news.
Now that you've seen all the images, let's get down to what really matters… We've lost count of the number of times we've talked about this German super hatchback (you can see it here and here) but even after we've said some "nonsense", we find that some of the our guesses were truly right.
Still without an official statement, no one takes our minds off the fact that the new Mercedes A45 AMG even comes equipped with a 2.0 liter turbo petrol engine capable of delivering 350 hp of power and 450 Nm of maximum torque. All this power will be transmitted to all four wheels under the controls of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
In addition, and as already mentioned by us, the German engineers also made some changes to the chassis of this A45 AMG, all to make it possible to mount a new suspension, some adjustments to the steering system settings, improvements to the electronic aids and mount more resistant and precise brakes in the car. After all we are dealing with 350 hp of power…
Rivals BMW 135i and Audi RS3 must already be having strong nightmares with such an affront to come… The A45 AMG promises to complete the 0-100 km/h race in a mere 4.5 seconds, thus making it the most speed of the three. Average fuel consumption should be around 7.0 liters per 100 km and CO2 emissions are around 160 g/km.
For those who think that the "normal" Mercedes A-Class equipped with the AMG Kit is aesthetically equal to the "real" AMG, then I'm very sorry to inform you, but as with other models of the brand, this one comes with some details that make it unique. The design of the wheels, the side skirts, the exhausts and the front bumper are just some of the differences between this A45 AMG and the Class A with AMG Kit.
This blessing coming directly from Stuttgart will be officially presented at the Geneva Motor Show, as early as next month, and there we will find out all the details of this new Mercedes bet. It's almost, it's almost...
