Renault has just presented the Renault TALISMAN, its new attack model for the D-segment, replacing the Laguna.
Totally new. To replace the Renault Laguna – and in some markets it also replaces the Renault Latitude, a model that was not sold among us – Renault has prepared a completely new model, even in name. The Laguna leaves the scene 21 years later (in 1994) to make way for the brand new Renault TALISMAN.
Based on the brand's new CMF modular platform, the Renault TALISMAN is 4.85m long, 1.87m wide and 1.46m high. With 2.81m of wheelbase, the TALISMAN will have a better habitability than its predecessor – the brand speaks of a reference value among its competitors. The suitcase will have a capacity of 608 liters.

On the outside, the generous grille flanked by two LED headlights – and two LED rows serving as position lights – recall the design of the also new Renault Espace. On the side, the shoulder line of the Renault TALISMAN is wide and prominent, giving the entire profile a muscular look. At the rear, the 3D LED headlamps mark the model's stylistic trend.
Jumping into the interior, highlight the central display with 4.2 inches in the entry versions and 8.7 inches in the versions with more equipment. The seats also deserved special attention from the team responsible for developing the Renault TALISMAN, as they have 10 different types of adjustments. All to achieve a comfortable driving position.
As for engines, in a first phase, TALISMAN will be associated with two petrol engines, TCe 150 and TCE 200, and two diesel engines, dCi 110 and dCi 130. All of them can be associated with manual 6-speed or dual-clutch gearboxes 7 speeds. There will also be a dCi 160 bi-turbo, only available with a 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox.
