Is this the Volkswagen Golf 2017?

Our OmniAuto colleagues have done a great deal of work on this preview of the next Volkswagen Golf (MK8). A model scheduled to debut in early 2017.

According to this digital interpretation of OmniAuto – purely speculative – the next member of the Golf clan will be able to resort to laser lights (coming from Audi) in the top versions, a more aggressive front and more prominent lines than those of the current model. The C LED daytime running lights, integrated into the front bumper, also don't go unnoticed.

In the eyes of OmniAuto, the Volkswagen Golf Mk8 significantly distances itself from the current Golf in aesthetic terms, however it is known that the next Volkswagen Golf will continue to use the MQB platform in an updated version. Platform that can also support the facelift of the next Skoda Octavia and Seat Leon. That is, more than a new model, the Golf MK8 will be an updated version of the current generation.

According to the Italian website, the German bestseller will no longer appear with the three-door version. On the other hand, you will enjoy the latest gesture control technology and the infotainment system will be compatible with three operating systems – MirrorLink, Auto Android and Apple CarPlay.

According to brand reports, one of the great news of this facelift will be the 1.0 TSI 3-cylinder engine, equipped with an electric actuation turbo. According to rumors, this engine promises to be quite frugal and consumes just 4.7 liters per 100 km in real use.
