Cardi 442, the luxury sports car «made in Russia»

To celebrate her 25th birthday, preparer Cardi is developing a luxury sports car with its eyes set on the future.

Known for its modifications to models on the Russian market, Cardi, a preparer based in Moscow, decided to venture out and create a prototype inspired by the Aston Martin DB9. The project was named “Concept 442” and began with the dismantling of the British sports car.

On the outside, Cardi intends to redesign the Aston Martin DB9, adopting even more elongated shapes and a tapered design at the ends. As you can see in the pictures, the Soviet brand plans to remove the B-pillar from the bodywork, which will allow the introduction of a panoramic roof and larger side windows. The traditional Aston Martin front will receive a wider grille and smaller headlamps.

The interior will be completely different, with minimalist styling throughout the cabin and wood finishes on the doors and instrument panel. As for the engine, Cardi will keep the original 6.0 liter V12 atmospheric block, as well as the six-speed automatic transmission. It is not known to what extent the brand intends to market this model in the future, but potential customers (at least in the Russian market) should not be lacking…
