Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet: a family reunion in Geneva

Anonim

The "supercar" Mercedes-AMG E 63 Station, the luxurious G650 Landaulet, the portentous prototype with 600 hp of power and now the new E-Class Cabriolet: the German brand will bet all its chips on the Geneva Motor Show.

For the past year, new elements of the E-Class family have been introduced through droppers. First it was the limousine, in January, and then followed by the van, the more adventurous version and towards the end of the year the Coupé variant. The latest addition to the family, the Cabriolet version, will be presented in pomp and circumstance at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

As with the other models in the range, it is to be expected that this “open-pit” version incorporates the same design language, technologies and range of engines that we already know.

But the highlight at the brand's stand in Geneva may not even be the E-Class Cabriolet, but the four-door Mercedes-AMG prototype.

This project, whose production version will thus join the AMG GT in AMG's range of dedicated models, will use a 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine with more than 600 hp and, who knows, a electric unit, for an additional 20 hp. More details about this prototype here.

For all these reasons, the Swiss event is regarded with great importance by those responsible for the brand – no wonder. Find out here all the news planned for the Geneva Motor Show.
