In an interview with Car&Driver, Tobias Moers unveiled some news about the next production models from Mercedes-AMG.
On the sidelines of the launch of the C63 Coupé, the CEO of Mercedes-AMG, Tobias Moers, revealed that the company's next step will be to equip all twin-turbo V12 models with all-wheel drive. The aim is to follow the example of Bentley, which has profited from marketing twelve-cylinder four-wheel-drive vehicles.Furthermore, according to Moers, the intention is to make the V12 engines more powerful, in order to create an even bigger “gap” in relation to the V8 blocks.

Moers also confirmed that the next-generation E63 will be equipped with a nine-speed “AMG Speedshift” automatic transmission and electronic limited-slip differential, the same as offered on the Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupé. Tobias Moers also suggested that the future C-Class Cabrio will have a performance-focused AMG variant.
As for the Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabrio, we can expect a version very similar to the C63 Coupé with the twin-turbo V8 engine with 4.0 liters and 469 hp.
