Ferrari F50 goes up for auction next February

A single copy of the 1997 Ferrari F50 will be auctioned at an estimated value of one and a half million euros. Who gives more?

The Ferrari F50 was introduced at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Maranello brand. At the time, the F50 represented the technological pinnacle of Maranello's home. In the «engine room» we found a noble 4.7 liter V12 atmospheric engine (520hp at 8000 rpm), capable of accelerating the Italian machine from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.7 seconds. The top speed was 325 km/h.

Despite technical specifications and technological innovations, the Ferrari F50 was not very well received by critics. Being the successor of one of the biggest icons in the car industry is not easy – we are talking about the Ferrari F40. Now, more than 21 years after its appearance, everyone is unanimous in recognizing the qualities of the F50.
