This summer will be missed...

Four men from Razão Automóvel, engines, octane and burnt rubber at a summer festival, completely out of their natural habitat – Guilherme, Diogo, Thomas and Miguel. It had everything to go wrong, but it ended up going well. The idea came from Toyota, which wanted to mark with us the brand's 15 years of presence in the main summer festivals in the country.

Along the way, there was still time to buy an inflatable shark, dubbed "Turbine". For what purpose do we acquire it? We don't know very well..."

We left Lisbon very early, behind the wheel of a Toyota Prius, lulled by a selection of songs that told us very little “Anselmo what?”, asked Diogo. “Diogo, Anselmo is one of the artists we are going to hear on MEO SW”, replied Thomas. “You're a beautiful artist, Thomas”, replied Guilherme, who is not very fond of the latest trends in music. Miguel however was already asleep – well he did.

If what we heard didn't always please us, we couldn't say the same about the sights. The path was made whenever possible, along national roads. First along the Costa Azul (passing to Tróia on the Setúbal Ferry) and then along the Costa Vicentina, passing by São Torpes Beach and Vila Nova de Mil Fontes, towards Herdade da Casa Branca. By this time we were all humming happily, loud and clear, as we tapped the melodies of Hardwell and Anselmo Ralph with our fingers on the steering wheel of the Prius – I write this, of course, with some embarrassment. There are videos of these moments, but as one guy said over the weekend: “what happens in the SW stays in the SW”. So will be.

Along the way, there was still time to buy an inflatable shark, named “Turbina”. For what purpose do we acquire it? We don't know very well. But after a year of intense work without a vacation, everything you do is no longer 100% judged. Due to the hassle of filling and emptying the Turbina, the poor shark ended up making the rest of the trip with 'fins in the wind'.

Arriving at the festival, we ended up easily getting into the spirit, thanks in part to the noisy playlist prepared by Thomas, which contrasted with the reigning silence emitted by the Prius. We thank Toyota for ceding the Toyota Prius until the festival, and for the remaining days, the company of the jovial Toyota Aygo, who stoically put up with all the beach-festival-beach trips like grown-ups – asserting (and well!) their reliability credentials of brand.

Stay with the images and video of the experience. Who knows if we won't be back next year.

Toyota Hitchhiking Now that the holidays are over, I miss the festivals and all the festival-goers who accompanied Toyota this summer. We remember with you the smiles, the rides and all the fun moments that were part of another year of Toyota's Ride Festivals .

Thank you all for the good times in these 15 Years of Festivals. Toyota was there!
