Honda presents mobility for the future at the Tokyo Motor Show

At the 44th Tokyo Motor Show, Honda will present futuristic solutions for the next generation of mobility to come. The new Honda FCV is just one of the novelties.

Within the wide range of cars, the Honda FCV will be one of the biggest surprises that the Japanese brand will use to impress the world, a fuel cell vehicle. The NSX hybrid together with a series of competition models will also form part of the podium. Combining these treats with innovative production models and prototypes aimed at tomorrow, the range promises to get closer to the “The Power of Dreams” concept and improve the daily lives of its customers.

So let's get to know the Honda FCV, the supercar…

Covered in authenticity, the Honda FCV promises to be the first four-door production model in the world to be equipped with a fuel cell engine housed entirely in the space destined for conventional combustion engines. In this way, comfort when the car is full is maintained. The autonomy is close to 700km and the high power electric motors guarantee a very pleasant driving experience. Dare to travel in the future?

And anyone who thinks that the cars of the future will stick to putting mileage on top of the engine is wrong. This Honda will also be used as a “power source” for people in emergency cases, thanks to its external electrical inverter.

New models for Japan

After the success the Honda Civic Type R has had in Europe, it's time to leave the UK Honda factories and shine on its debut in Japan later this year.

Speaking of sports cars, the S660 will also feast many eyes on the Japanese market, combining the fantastic driving of a “standard” sports car with the efficiency of compact lines.

futuristic prototypes

Several copies will be on display at the 44th Tokyo Hall. The one that drew the most mouths was the Honda Project 2&4 powered by the RC213V, on its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. Whoever designed this Honda certainly had the aspiration to combine the daring of driving a motorcycle with the maneuverability that the four wheels offer.

Still in the world of lovers of strange vehicles we have the Honda Wander Stand and the Honda Wander Walker. With the latter it will be possible to nimbly maneuver between pedestrians.

The stipulated days for the press at the 44th Tokyo Hall are October 28th and 29th, 2015 and for the public between October 30th and November 8th, 2015.
