Paul Walker's daughter sues Porsche

Porsche reiterates that the accident that killed Paul Walker and Roger Rodas was due to "reckless driving and excessive speed". Paul Walker's daughter does not share the same opinion.

Paul Walker's daughter is going to sue Porsche for her father's death. In the indictment brought against the German brand, the daughter of the ill-fated actor, who played the role of Brian O’conner in the Furious Speed saga, argues that the car her father was following when he died had several design flaws.

The lawsuit on behalf of 16-year-old Meadow Rain Walker was filed yesterday, CNN said. It claims that the car "did not have the safety devices that exist in well-designed race cars or even some less expensive Porsche cars - devices that could have prevented the accident or, at the very least, allowed Paul Walker to survive the accident."

The lawyer for Paul Walker's daughter goes further: “What's important is that the Porsche Carrera GT is a dangerous car. It must not be on the road,” he said in a statement. Porsche declined to comment on the lawsuit, but a representative of the brand said that from the point of view of the brand, it is proven that the accident that killed Walker, was simply due to "reckless driving and excessive speed". It is not the first lawsuit against Porsche over this accident: the widow of Roger Rodas, the driver of the car where the actor was following, also filed a lawsuit against the Stuttgart-based brand.
