Techrules GT96 to be present in Geneva

Chinese brand Techrules has announced that it will return to the Geneva Motor Show with the production version of its electric super sports car, the GT96.

In March of this year, Techrules brought to Geneva the AT96 (pictured), a prototype with six electric motors – one in each wheel and two in the rear section – for a total of 1044 hp and 8640 Nm of maximum torque. Yes, you read well…. 8640 Nm of binary!

Thanks to a micro turbine capable of reaching 96,000 revolutions per minute and producing up to 36 kilowatts - a technology that the brand calls the Turbine-Recharging Electric Vehicle (TREV) - it is possible to charge the batteries that power the electric motors almost instantly - even in progress. In practice, we are talking about a range of up to 2000 km (!).

According to the brand, this sports car would be able to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in a dizzying 2.5 seconds, while the top speed is electronically limited to 350 km/h. A small detail: apparently, the brand had not yet found a way to coordinate all these engines.

Since then, more than eight months have passed, and with this announcement, we believe that Techrules has found the technical solution to solve this “small” problem. For that we will have to wait until the next Geneva Motor Show, which takes place in March of next year.
