The next Paris Motor Show will be the stage for the presentation of the second generation of the Audi Q5.

The confirmation comes on the day that Audi celebrates the production of 1 million units of the Audi Q5, an SUV sold in over 100 countries and which is currently one of the most important models for the brand. “The Audi Q5 is a guarantee of success for us. For that reason, I am very proud that we have created an attractive model on a world scale, right here in Ingolstadt. We reached this level with great effort and determination,” said Albert Mayer, director of the Ingolstadt plant.

Since the beginning of the year, the Audi Q5's share of sales has risen by 4.7% compared to the previous year. The German brand intends to maintain this pace of growth through a new factory in San José Chiapa, Mexico, which from September will be in charge of all production, and also with the launch of the second generation of the Audi Q5.

Regarding the new model, in aesthetic terms, it should not stray too far from the current version (in the featured image), although a slight weight reduction is planned. The real news may even be a high-performance RS version with 400 hp of power, which will join the current SQ5, but for that, we'll have to wait for the official confirmation of the brand at the next Paris Motor Show, which takes place between the 1st and October 16th.
