Just now here we released the first “unofficial” images of the brand new Mercedes SL and the new “Official” images are already here!
In addition to the obvious resemblance to the SLK model, the new SL is the first Mercedes with a construction almost entirely in aluminum, which makes the recent Roadster lighter by around 140kg compared to the previous model.
Although Mercedes has provided many details about the technologies and chassis design of the new SL, the German brand remains silent on the range of engines available. However, we believe that the new SL will have the new 3.5-liter V6 and twin-turbo 4.6-liter V8 engines.
The Mercedes-Benz SL 2013 has its debut scheduled for the Detroit Motor Show, to be held next January.
