After we revealed where the Fiat 600 Multipla spare tire was “hidden”, this week we are going to reveal where the spare tire of a much rarer car is: the Alfa Romeo SZ.
Launched in 1989, the Alfa Romeo SZ, by Sprint Zagato — also known as “il Mostro” — used the base of the Alfa Romeo 75, was equipped with a 3.0 V6 with 210 hp, and it goes without saying that it was a sporty, space didn't abound inside this rare Alfa Romeo . Therefore, the solution found to store the spare tire had to be “creative”.
Truth be told, the solution was successful, as until we saw the images of an Alfa Romeo SZ offered for sale by Fast Classics we had never noticed it. No, the spare tire is not under the boot, the more conventional solution, but it is positioned precisely at the access to what we think is the… tailgate.

As you can see in the gallery above (swipe), when opening the tailgate we only found the spare tire. Where is the trunk then? Well, this one was “relegated” to a space behind the front seats, with the right to straps to secure the luggage.
