For the first time , the Italian bicycle brand Bianchi and Ferrari (no introduction…) have joined forces to produce a road bike.
Thus was born the Bianchi SF01, a model unveiled this week at Eurobike 2017 – a salon dedicated to bicycles.
According to the brand, the new SF01 employs the best technologies available. Its frame, made exclusively of carbon, weighs just 780 g. and was developed to eliminate up to 80% of road vibrations, in order to ensure greater comfort for the cyclist.
But the use of carbon was not just for the picture. The saddle, which weighs just 94 g, uses the same carbon fiber and manufacturing process as the seats in Ferrari's Formula 1 car seats.
The wheels, also in carbon, use tires also of Italian origin (Pirelli P Zero).
The Bianchi SF1 will start being sold in November, for a price around 15,000 euros. It will be the first model in a full range of mountain, road and city bikes, which will be launched in the coming years.
