One of the most affordable little “Rockets” in the Automotive market is back, the Suzuki Swift Sport! It comes standard with a 1.6 hp petrol engine with 136hp, a six-speed gearbox, and a bold chassis, just like in its early days.
The new Suzuki Swift Sport strain is already available to all those who like a little adrenaline at “low cost”. Suzuki's renewed pearl is proposed by €20,800 , a price that places this small but powerful “Rocket” as the most affordable of the small sports cars in the Portuguese market, being €1,600 cheaper than the Renault Twingo RS, equipped with a 1.6 engine with 133 hp.
The new exterior look The Swift Sport is quite aggressive and bold, which immediately makes us understand its potential, from the lowering of the chassis to the front grille, black mouth style, nothing has been forgotten by the Japanese brand. Rounding out the exterior look are the 17-inch wheels specific to the Sport version, covered by 195/45 tyres. “This boy wears well”!
already in the interior , everything has been revised for greater ease of use, from the placement of sports seats, sports pedals, a no less attractive steering wheel, to the instrumentation, which immediately suggests the potential of the small Japanese “rocket”.
In this new generation, the Swift Sport has an evolution of the M16A engine, with an optimized intake system and a six-speed manual gearbox developed especially for the Sport version.
Compared to the previous version, both the maximum power like the binary have risen, being now respectively 136 hp (11 hp more) and maximum torque from 148 Nm to 160 Nm. To combat this increase in power, Suzuki has equipped the Swift Sport with a stability control accompanied as standard with traction control. The suspension has also been modified with stiffer shock absorbers, offering greater stability in high-speed corners.
New technologies and their evolution are fantastic things, and this small sports car was no exception, curiously despite the notorious increase in power, the consumptions announced are smaller than those of the previous generation: 5.2/6.4/8.4 l/100 km, respectively with regard to extra-urban cycles. At emissions they are also smaller, based on an 11% drop compared to the previous generation and currently limited to 147 g/km.
With all these improvements and at a very affordable price, the new Swift Sport will undoubtedly be one of the most coveted small sports cars of 2012, making the delight of all ardent fans of the automotive world who dream of owning a sports car. There is an excellent opportunity!
