It took a while but it didn't… Chevrolet is getting ready to start marketing, in Portugal, as of this week, the Diesel part of the Aveo model.
Despite being one of the most disproportionate cars we know when it comes to design, beautiful at the front, hideous at the back (maybe they ran out of creativity on the front), the Aveo has just received the long-awaited 1.3-liter turbodiesel version. This version offers two power levels, the 1.3 TCDi of 75 hp it's the 1.3 VCDi of 95 hp.
With three variants available, the Eco 95 hp version will, of course, be the most spared with an average consumption of just 3.6 liters per 100 km, but rest assured that the other two versions of 75 and 95 hp are not much more “drunk” as they consume an average of 3.7 and 4.1 liters per 100 km, respectively.
As everyone knows, the Aveo was not built to do big races and for the most powerful Diesel a top speed of 174 km/h is reserved. Forgetting the rear design, this Aveo is a good option to consider for the youngest guys who arrive at the end of the week without a penny in their pockets... Overall it is a car "respectful" enough to take the girlfriend out to dinner and not too fancy to attract unwanted girls.
But moving on to the painful part, the Aveo Diesel is available at the following prices:
