New offensive of the German brand in the segment of electric vehicles. Opel Ampera-e is scheduled for launch at the Paris Motor Show.

With the latest trends in mobility and environmental protection in mind, Opel will present its new five-door electric compact, which received the name Ampera-e, at the Paris Motor Show – an event that takes place between the 1st and October 16th. An unprecedented model in the Opel range, which builds on the accumulated experience of the first Ampera, launched in 2011 but which used a somewhat different philosophy in terms of bodywork.

In technical terms, the Opel Ampera-e has a battery pack placed under the floor of the cabin, which maximizes the dimensions inside the cabin and guarantees a luggage compartment with volumetry comparable to that of a B-segment model. The German model will be equipped with the latest travel and emergency assistance system, the Opel OnStar – a system that integrates a Wi-Fi hotspot that allows seven mobile devices to be connected to the Internet -, in addition to an IntelliLink information and entertainment system (compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto).

In terms of engine, the German brand says that the new Opel Ampera-e will deliver 204 hp of power and 360 Nm of maximum torque, which translates into an acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h in 3.2 seconds and recovery of 80 to 120 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 150km/h. These values ​​are compared to sports models with the OPC signature (video below).

As for autonomy, the batteries with a capacity of 60 kWh offer enough autonomy to cover 322 km between charges.
