It seems that in the minds of the preparers that feeling persists that there is always something else to change. As proof of this, a fulminating bull comes from the “fifth of hell”: the Aventador LP988 Edizione GT.
After the Molto Veloce and Limited Edition versions – understood by DMC as Stage 1 and 2 – DMC decided to present stage 3. Simply the most «bombing» of all DMC upgrades for the Lamborghini Aventador.
They call it Edition GT. The DMC preparer chose this name because the entire process of creating this kit took FIA regulations into consideration. As well as being an authorized machine for use on the track, the Aventador LP988 Edizione GT is also fully approved for circulation on public roads. Remarkable don't you think?
Unfortunately, everything comes at a price. And if purchasing a Lamborghini Aventador is no longer sweet, this stage 3 will require an additional €212,000 (not including taxes). But as with everything in life: what is exclusive is expensive.
It remains for us to discuss the components that enrich this Lamborghini Aventador in such a way that it justifies such a high sum.
As far as the bodywork is concerned, you can count on a number of parts designed from scratch exclusively for this version of the Aventador, such as: bumpers with aerodynamic appendages; engine cover with new air intakes; skirts sculpted to complete the bumpers; Rear diffuser of epic proportions and finally a GT-style wing, with 3 adjustments for different angles.
To complete the bouquet, we also have DMC forged wheels, a 2-tone paint job and an interior completely retouched by DMC.
Turning to the engine, what happened in this compartment is the devil's work… The Lamborghini Aventador didn't just receive 2 turbochargers with dimensions capable of sucking a newborn baby. DMC's work went much further, including modifications to the inlet throttles for each of the 12 cylinders, new fuel pumps, as well as the completely revised injection system, with new lines, rulers and injectors.
Of course, it was finally a reprogramming of the ECU. All so that the Lamborghini Aventador exhales flames of fire as if it were a bull enraged by the devil.
The performance could not be in greater harmony with the transformations operated in this Aventador LP988 Edizione GT, the 988 horsepower, allow it to fulfill the 0-100km/h in just 2.5s. Maximum speed? 350km/h. Without a doubt a forbidden fruit...
