The first SUV “de nuestros hermanos” will maintain the Seat tradition and receive the nickname “Ateca”, the name of a city located west of Zaragoza, in the heart of the Iberian Peninsula. That said, next spring will bring the new Spanish SUV with a wide range of versions. The choice will be made between the turbo TSI gasoline engines and the TDI diesel engines, with power ranging from 115hp to 190hp.The Ateca's dynamics are fed by a wide range of driving units, all of which are supercharged. The diesel engine offering starts with the 1.6 TDI with 115hp, the 2.0 TDI is available with 150hp or 190hp. The consumption values of these blocks will vary between 4.3 and 5.0 liters per 100 km, with CO2 values between 112 and 131 grams per km. The input engine will be the 1.0 TSI with 115hp, and the 1.4 TSI block brings cylinder deactivation in partial load regimes and will debit 150hp. The consumption and emissions of these engines are between 5.3 and 6.2 liters and between 123 and 141 grams.
Martorell's SUV will have front or four-wheel drive, depending on the engine, and the transmission will feature a manual or dual-clutch DSG gearbox.

With an exterior length of 4.36 meters, the Ateca guarantees the best use of space in the segment, with maximum use of space in length with 510 liters available in the trunk in the normal version and 485 liters in the variants with all-wheel drive. Although very rigid, the Ateca is among the lightest in its segment, ensuring agile behavior, and not just in urban traffic.
