This coming September, five drivers will line up in the “Global Mazda MX-5 Cup” race that will take place at the circuit in Laguna Seca, USA.
The Mazda MX-5 Cup trophy is reputed to be one of the most competitive and affordable in motorsport, attracting early-career drivers and gentleman drivers who only want to race at the weekend at controlled costs for several years.The five riders were chosen last weekend at the ParcMotor Circuit, in Barcelona, where an action took place that saw the 20 of the pre-qualified riders, through a dedicated online competition, fighting for one of the open places after that. group has seen itself reduced to 10 elements first, and then the top 5.

During the evaluation weekend, competitors also had to drive the 2016 Global Cup Mazda MX-5, which features more than 200 racing components that have been added to the base model, identical to what comes out of the factories – see all the details of this model, here.
Winners Moritz Kranz (Germany), Kamil Franczak (Poland), Erik Blixt (Sweden), Oliver Allwood (UK), Gabriele Gardel (Switzerland) will ride the North American circuit Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, driving the new Mazda MX -5 Cup, vehicles with competition specifications.
The five winning drivers were evaluated by professional instructors who assessed their driving dynamics, track driving, reaction and aptitude tests and even their ability to contact the press. These are all skills necessary for training and access to one of the biggest racetracks in the world, the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca complex.
