Audi Prologue Avant Concept: (r)evolution in van format

The Audi Prologue Avant Concept shows us how the Ingolstadt brand envisions its future creations.

While sales figures and public acceptance of Audi products are encouraging, expert critics have often pointed the finger at the creativity of the brand's designers, accusing them of making models too similar to each other.

The Ingolstadt brand intends to solve this problem already in the next generation of models, through a “new interpretation of the Avant(van) philosophy”, one of the most important bodywork typologies for the German manufacturer.

This new era in the brand's design is made with more muscular lines, headlights with Matrix Laser technology, more prominent grille and more dramatic wheel arches. To materialize the concept, the brand created the Audi Prologue Avant Concept, a model that will serve as an inspiration and technological showcase for Audi in the coming months.

Powered by a 3.0 TDI engine and two electric motors, the Audi Prologue Avant Concept uses the technology that the brand calls the e-tron, to develop more than 450hp of combined power. Numbers that allow this concept to achieve acceleration from 0-100km/h in just 5.1 seconds and achieve consumption of just 1.6 liters in the first 100 km.

This Prologue Avant Concept will be on display at the Geneva Motor Show, featured on the brand's stand, to gauge public receptivity to the winds of change blowing in Ingolstadt.
