Ken Block's new "monster"? A replica of the Audi Sport Quattro with (almost) 750 hp

Shortly after being announced as Audi's latest "hire", Ken Block has just unveiled his new machine: a replica of the Audi Sport Quattro for the road.

Considered one of the most important cars in the history of rallying and a perfect example of the spirit of Group B, the Audi Sport Quattro continues to leave no one indifferent, not even Ken Block, who decided to try what seemed impossible: to make it his daily driver. It was the pilot himself who said it, during the presentation of the model at SEMA, in Las Vegas (USA).

To homologate the Audi Quattro in competition, the four-ring brand was forced to build 217 road models, which makes the mission of finding a genuine one very difficult. But Block managed to get around that situation.

For this, it counted on the help of LCE Performance, which is dedicated (among other transformations) to producing replicas of the Audi Sport Quattro. The German preparer supplied the car — it's, in fact, the same LCE Performance demo unit that we introduced you to earlier this year — and Block and his Hoonigan team have already made some modifications.

First, they started by taking the whole car apart, repainting it (it was red and now it's white), customized it a little more with the addition of graphics (like the Audi symbol on the door) and even the wheels are unique to this model. , with the «signature» of Hoonigan.

We are still at the beginning of the evolution of Ken Block's new mount, but it already has a KW Motorsport Edition suspension and the wheels were wrapped with Toyo R888R tyres.

Inside, the inspiration in the world of competition is notorious. The highlights are the carbon fiber dashboard designed by Walter Röhrl, the modified Recaro Pole Position Classic seats and the special handbrake identical to the one Block had already used on his Hoonitruck.

Powered by a 2.5 block of five cylinders — what else could it be? — has a Garrett G-series turbo and a Wagner Tuning intercooler. Result? This road-approved “monster” produces an impressive 746 hp of power.

Now all that's left is to see him in action. But we're sure Ken Block will already have something up his sleeve for the introductory video. One thing is certain: this Audi Sport Quattro will go sideways!
