Nissan Dynamic Performance Center: a million kilometers in 10 years

With the exception of the GT-R, all Nissan models for sale in Europe have gone through the Dynamic Performance Center in Bonn, Germany.

Before a new production model reaches dealerships it is necessary to ensure good build quality and road performance. In Nissan's case, this task falls to a small group of seven engineers based at the brand's Dynamic Performance Center.

This center opened its doors in September 2006 and since then its aim has been to fulfill the driving expectations of European customers. Bonn, Germany, was chosen because of its proximity to the autobahns, narrow urban lanes and country roads paved with parallels, as well as other demanding road surfaces.

Ten years later, Nissan experts have covered more than 1,000,000 km in tests , a landmark that was marked by the Japanese brand.

“The work of the Dynamic Performance Center team has been instrumental in driving Nissan forward, particularly in relation to our leadership in developing our Qashqai, Juke and X-Trail crossovers. This anniversary is a great opportunity to celebrate the recognition that our customers have given to these products.”

Erik Belgrade, Director of Dynamic Performance

The seven engineers are currently developing the next generation of Nissan crossovers and testing autonomous driving technologies, which will debut in Europe in 2017 via the Qashqai.
