Is the solution found to force drivers to slow down on the crosswalks?

It is well known that India has one of the highest road death rates in the world. To reverse the road accident, the Indian Ministry of Transport bet on a creative and original solution, at the very least: replacing the traditional “zebra” crosswalks with three-dimensional crosswalks.

For this, the company IL&FS, responsible for road maintenance in the city of Ahmedabad, asked the artists Saumya Pandya Thakkar and Shakuntala Pandya to paint three-dimensional walkways, in order to create an optical illusion (as if it were an obstacle) and oblige drivers to reduce speed.
