Probably the most beautiful Aston Martin Lagonda we've ever seen

One of the first Aston Martin Lagonda produced by the British brand is now on sale.

Let's face it: in the design chapter, the Aston Martin Lagonda is far from being a consensual model. The unconventional shapes of the bodywork didn't suit everyone, but this unit is at "wow effect!" maximum.

Equipped with a 500 hp V8 engine, at the time there was no sedan faster than this one. Nor did the Germans come close to the numbers of this Aston Martin. Maximum speed? More than 260 km/h. Notable for a car with rudimentary aerodynamics.

Of the four versions launched between 1974 and 1990, the first – 1 Series – was the one that most distanced itself from the rest, particularly in terms of aesthetics, despite having been the one that most went unnoticed. So it's not surprising that this is one of Aston Martin's rarest models.

This Aston Martin Lagonda (in the pictures) is one of seven models produced by the brand in 1974 , and was on display at the London Salon of the same year.

Based on the DBS, the first generation Lagonda was equipped with a 5.3 liter V8 engine with 380 hp as standard. Thanks to a power pack that the brand calls the X Pack, this Aston Martin Lagonda delivers 500 hp of maximum power.

With the exception of the radio, heated seats and a Motorola phone discreetly hidden in the backseat, Lagonda retains all the original components. Between 2002 and 2004 the car underwent a complete makeover by the brand, and has been in the care of Aston Martin Works ever since. Now, Lagonda is on sale at a price yet to be revealed.
