Toyota S-FR Racing Concept to be unveiled in Tokyo

The sports version of the Toyota S-FR Concept was unveiled, a model scheduled for presentation next month at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Toyota's smallest coupe, unveiled last month, has gotten even more extreme – it looks like a Pikachu on steroids. In this competition-oriented version, the carbon fiber reinforced plastic bodywork is lighter and wider, and the rear is dominated by a central exhaust system and a large rear wing – downforce as much as you need.

The Japanese brand has not released information about the power of this Racing Concept, but it is expected a power above 200hp - otherwise it would not be justified to be so concerned with aerodynamic support.

If the production of the Toyota S-FR road version is confirmed, this small rear-wheel drive coupe joins the Mazda MX-5 and Fiat 124 Spider, a set of models designed with a special focus on driving pleasure. The Toyota S-FR Racing Concept will be unveiled at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show from January 15th to 17th.
