Today we bring you another proposal of the most «fine flower» of German tuning. Get to know the BBM BMW M6 M700BT, a machine that is not limited to the aesthetic component and presents itself with serious power credentials.
From the images, you may have already noticed that the base of this proposal is the BMW M6 Convertible with the M700BT kit from BBM. Will the original BMW M6 be fun enough?
Perhaps, but for the most fundamentalist petrolheads of tuning, there is never too much power. If for fans of classics, happiness is in the ignition key, for others, automobile "nirvana" is in the horsepower and the way in which you can extract even more from a machine.
But let's get to facts and details about this M6 M700BT. As is well known, almost all German tuning houses specialize in reprogramming the ECUs, something that is not as easy or as simplistic as it may seem, especially when large power gains are involved.
That's why this M6 M700BT has the ECU reprogramming, fully developed at home. Complemented by an Akrapovic exhaust line, a brand that needs no introduction. But with so much branding involved here, let's not lose focus on the results achieved with this transformation.
The result is noteworthy: 145 more horsepower and 184Nm of torque. Will it be enough to seduce you? No need to answer right now… this M6 M700BT by BBM, gives us 705 horsepower at 6100rpm, constant up to 7200rpm. Impressive from a mechatronics engineering standpoint is the maximum torque, which throws this bolide to the demonic value of 864Nm.
Even the technical department responsible for the M6 prepared by G-Power, stressed that pulling the torque beyond 890Nm in the M6 was the equivalent of passing a death certificate to the gearbox. Well, remembering again the binary of the M6 M700BT from BBM, they are 864Nm, ready to slaughter whatever comes before them.
Dynamically, BBM chose to install KW coilovers, fully compatible with DDC electronic damping, but as an option, for the more radical ones, there is the option of installing the KW Variant 3 model that allows the lowering of the M6 M700BT, between 10 to 40mm. To make up the rest of the aggressive look of the M6 M700BT, BBM opted for the magnificent Breyton wheels, 21-inch Spirit R model, aesthetically matte metallic blue vinyl courtesy of SFT.
