A model intended to be the sportiest four-door coupé on offer by Mercedes-Benz and AMG, the four-door Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé finally seems to have real confirmation of going into production.

The "announcement" was, moreover, made by the German manufacturer, which not only confirmed the name for which the model was known for a long time — Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé — but also the presentation of what will be its production version, already at the next Geneva Motor Show in March.

Along with this information, the disclosure of the first photos of the model, still heavily camouflaged and showing little future lines of the four-door coupé, was also disclosed.

Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé: sporty and luxurious

Derivation of the prototype presented in 2017, the Mercedes-AMG GT Coupé will also assume the mission of occupying the space previously held by the CLS 63, a variant that is no longer part of this range, in the new generation already presented. A fact that leads to believe that the new model will not only be a genuinely sporty four-door coupé, but also a proposal of high positioning and luxury. In addition to being marked by true cutting edge technologies.

Moreover, in terms of engines, everything points towards the model will be proposed with the well-known 4.0 liter twin-turbo V8, delivering a power of around 600 hp.
