This 1st edition of the Winter Rallye promoted by the Leiria Motorsports Center was a huge success, with a total of 110 cars registered in the two existing classes.

With these two classes to be disputed (Sports and Classics) the drivers hit the road to dispute the much desired 1st place. The race that began at the Kartódromo de Leiria went through places such as Ansião, Figueiró dos Vinhos and Castanheira de Pêra, ending at dawn at the starting point of this 2012 Winter Rally.
The team, Adelino Serrador, was the big winner of this Rallye in the sports class, with the driver Adelino Serrador, accompanied by Pedro Serrador, recording a final time of 4:43.20, at the wheel of a Porsche Carrera 911. classics, the protagonists were others, José Grosso and João Sismeiro formed the team, Eurorentlei/Promapa, and beat all the competition in a Ford Escort MkI, recording a final time of 4:50.00.

It is regrettable that the two lost their way on the second pass through Rampa de Figueiró. Fortunately, nothing serious happened to the passengers of the Subaru Imprenza and the Honda S2000, as for their cars…
Also of note is the sad incident that occurred in the Avelar area, where some of the competitors were received by bullets from a carbine, which are (usually) used to slaughter wild boar. One of the bullets even entered the back of a Ford Escort MkI, being lodged in the rollbar 5 cm from the pilot, the police are already on the ground to investigate this incident.
Incidents aside, it was an excellent race that gave many amateurs the opportunity to participate in a race that has nothing illegal, thus providing a day full of adrenaline and emotion at the highest speed. For the year there's more!
