Torino Design ATS Wild Twelve Concept : a big comeback

Anonim

Torino Design and ATS are preparing a very ambitious recipe to return to the dispute with the already established brands, that is, LaFerrari and company.

Unveiled at the open-air automobile fair, Parco Valentino Salone and Gran Premio, the Wild Twelve is now just a concept that intends to go on sale soon. It is supposed to face super-competition from Ferrari, Porsche and Mclaren, and according to ATS, it is expected to produce around 30 units.

From the outset, the exotic factor is guaranteed, but there is more. The Wild Twelve will be produced in a very special 'cathedral'. Production will take place at Bugatti's former facilities in Campogalliano – remember that the late EB110 came from this factory in the 1990s.

The technical sheet of this Wild Twelve impresses and proves that ATS has a vision focused on the future, because the Wild Twelve is hybrid just like other competitors' proposals such as: McLaren P1, Ferrari LaFerrari and Porsche 918 Spyder.

The Wild Twelve has trump cards up its sleeve to surprise even the most skeptical. The Wild Twelve is powered by a magnificent 3.8l twin-turbo V12 block with the help of 2 electric motors.

The result is an impressive 848 horsepower combined and an overwhelming maximum torque: 919Nm! The management of this source of power was the responsibility of the ZF 9-speed automatic transmission. The total weight of the set, according to the ATS, will not exceed 1500kg, which makes the Wild Twelve very competitive, thanks to a power-to-weight ratio of 1.76kg/hp – a reference value.

According to ATS, the Wild Twelve will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in about 2.6s and from 0 to 200km/h in 6.2s. The top speed is also impressive: over 380km/h. In other words, Wide Twelve will have no problems keeping up with the competition.

In terms of environmental awareness, the Wide Twelve beats the competition with its 30km autonomy in purely electric mode, better than the LaFerrari and 918 Spyder, capable of just 22km and 19km respectively.

ATS has not provided us with news since 2013 after the acclaimed 2500GT, but will Wild Twelve be responsible for the real start up of the brand? Leave us your opinion on our social networks.
