The seventh generation of Volkswagen Golf (launched in 2012) will see its first major update next month. What can we expect?
The countdown to the presentation of the facelift of the seventh generation of the Volkswagen Golf, scheduled for the month of November, has started. A model born 42 years ago and currently selling one unit every 40 seconds . There are 2160 units per day and 788,400 units per year, for a cumulative total of 32,590,025 units throughout its commercial career (until the end of 2015).Regarding the Volkswagen Golf 2017, it is to be expected some novelties that are not very pronounced in aesthetic terms – otherwise, as is customary at Volkswagen. Still, the headlights are expected to adopt a more modern luminous signature and the bumpers are expected to be redesigned to accentuate the differences to the version launched in 2012.

Inside, a general overhaul of the materials used on the dashboard is expected, new upholstery and the adoption of a more up-to-date infotainment system, with enhanced connectivity solutions. In dynamic terms, the German brand should take advantage of this facelift to equip the Golf with the Group's new generation of adaptive suspensions and with updated engines – less polluting and more efficient.
