It was arriving, seeing and winning, literally. Sébastien Loeb (Peugeot) entered with the right foot in what is his debut on the Dakar, hitting with the same weapons – read vehicle – heavyweights such as Stéphane Peterhansel (2m23s) and Cyril Despres (4m00s), in the 386 km of the stage that connected Villa Carlos Paz to Termas de Rio Hondo.

After the two Peugeots by Loeb and Peterhansel, the Toyota «army» arrived with Vladimir Vasilyev and Giniel de Villiers, respectively 2m38 and 3m01s from Loeb. This was followed by also rookie Mikko Hirvonen (3m05s), the Peugeot by Cyril Despres (4m00s) and the MINI by Nasser Al-Attiyah (4m18s), winner of the Dakar 2015.

After the WRC, FIA GT, Pikes Peak, 24 Hours of Le Mans, Ralicross and WTCC, Sébastien Loeb adds another proof to his long repertoire of sporting successes. Legend status? Check!
