DS Divine Concept debuts new premium Citroën design

Citroën will present a new prototype of the DS line at the Paris Motor Show: the DS Divine. A concept that introduces the world to the new stylistic direction of the French brand's premium line.

Betting on reinforcing the arguments of the DS line against the premium German references, Citroën has just presented the first images of the DS Divine Concept. A model that, in the words of DS director Yves Bonnefont, intends to assume itself as a car ahead of its time with “visible, sophisticated technologies and a combination of comfort and very balanced dynamics”. According to Bonnefont the DS Divine is a representation of what the DS line will offer in the future, “surfaces with a muscular and voluptuous appearance, punctuated by creased but fluid lines”.

One of the main details in the lines of the DS Divine is the absence of the rear window, replaced by geometric shapes. In the absence of a rear window, the French brand opted for the increasingly common rear-view camera system. We doubt that this solution will reach production, however, we remind you that Citroën has a long history of stylistic solutions that are not very consensual. Opening the door in scissors will be another element that will certainly not go beyond the Concept phase.
