A few months before the start of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, Mini presents its tribute to the event: the Mini Paceman GoalCooper.
The day before April 1st, mini presented its “football concentrate”. On the outside, this Mini is painted in an unusual color scheme that proudly displays the colors of the 2014 FIFA World Cup country: blue, green and yellow.
If there were any doubts as to why the Paceman GoalCooper existed, they all disappear as soon as you see the interior: green-grass mats for any footballer to feel in the stadium and a table football set to explain techniques to other passengers make the environment as footballing as possible . If you need to train some shots, Mini has also found a solution.
Whether you want to sharpen your aim for a penalty shootout or simply make a few shots, the Mini has equipped GoalCooper with a goal. Like? Well, just fold down the rear seats, stretch the net and the “grass”, turn on the spotlights built into the side pillars and the animal is ready to go.
But the story doesn't end here. This Mini is not called GoalCooper (alluding to goal keeper, goalkeeper) for any reason. According to the brand, as soon as the parking sensors, together with the interior alarm system, detect a shot at the “goal”, the automatic closing of the tailgate is activated, preventing the footballer from touching the ball to the net.
So that discussions do not arise as to the final result, there is a fixation for a tablet that shows the result of the match. At the end of the game, the results can be shared with other players through its own application.
