Porsche Majn. Is it Stuttgart's little crossover?

Anonim

Porsche may be preparing a baby Macan to attack the compact crossover market.

For the first time in history, Porsche has sold more than 200,000 units (data from 2015). Can you guess which were the two best-selling models? That's right, Cayenne and Macan…

So it's no surprise that the Stuttgart brand wants to extend its range with yet another crossover. And according to Auto Bild, this new model could arrive sooner than you think. The German magazine points Porsche Majun as the name of this crossover – featured image for illustrative purposes only.

A model that should share components with other future proposals from the Volkswagen Group, namely the Audi Q4 – something that is not new for the Stuttgart brand, as the Macan uses the same platform as the Q5.

According to the same publication, the Porsche Majun will not only have a hybrid version (judging by the brand's plan for the next few years) but could even be the brand's first 100% electric model.

This crossover could thus join the Porsche Mission E, the Porsche electric sports car that is already in the testing phase and should be launched before the end of the decade.
