The German brand unveiled the new competition model for next season. Know the first details of the Porsche 911 RSR.

From Stuttgart arrive the first images of the new Porsche 911 RSR, a model developed to compete in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the GTE category and the United Sportscar Championship in the GTLM category. The inaugural tests took place at the Test Center in Weissach, Germany, where several drivers put the German model to the test.

“It's not common to have so many drivers behind the wheel in a presentation like this… but taking into account that they are all involved in the development of this new car, those who managed to find space in their schedule came for a couple of laps”, commented Marco Ujhasi, responsible for the GT Works Motorsport project.

As expected, Porsche did not reveal details about the engine, but taking into account the 470 hp of the current model, it is to be expected an increase in power to the flat-six engine. The big question is: considering that the new Porsche 911 are turbo, will the RSR also cease to be atmospheric?

Apparently, the most important secrets of the new Porsche 911 RSR reside in the rear, so much so that the brand has not released any image of the rear. The Porsche 911 RSR will now go through a development program over the next six months, before it debuts at the 24 Hours of Daytona (USA) in January of next year.
