The Japanese manufacturer's van achieved an average of 2.82 l/100km. With one tank, the Honda Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC covered 1,500km.
Two Honda Europe engineers decided to put the frugality of the Honda Civic Tourer 1.6 i-DTEC to the test on a 13,498km journey that crossed a total of 24 EU countries. Along the way, they beat the Guinness Record in the category best energy efficiency for a production model.

On public roads, these two engineers managed a final average of just 2.82 liters per 100km. With a diesel tank, they managed to cover an average of around 1,500km with the Honda Civic Tourer. Numbers that are even more interesting than those that the brand advertises: 3.8l/100km in mixed cycle. Peugeot did something similar with the 208 a few months ago…
This 1.6 i-DTEC engine produces 120hp (88kW) and 300Nm of maximum torque. Enough to achieve acceleration from 0-100km/h in 10.1 seconds.
