After 57 races in Formula 1 came Daniel Ricciardo's first triumph. The Red Bull driver put an end to Mercedes' hegemony. An excellent Formula 1 show at the Canadian Grand Prix.

For the first time this season, the Mercedes didn't get the better of the competition. Red Bull once again occupied the highest place on the podium, thanks to an excellent performance by Daniel Ricciardo, putting an end to Mercedes' dominance.

The 24-year-old Australian rider has won his first grand prix, after two third places this season, once again beating his teammate Sebastian Vettel who finished in 3rd place.

In 2nd place, with problems with the braking system finished Nico Rosberg. His teammate Lewis Hamilton, who was forced to retire, was not so lucky. A result that greatly benefited Rosberg in the fight for the championship. The German driver went on to add 140 points, against 118 for Hamilton, while Ricciardo rose to third place, with 69 points, thanks to this triumph.

A triumph that arises on its own merits, but also for the benefit of misfortunes in Mercedes' single-seaters. Jenson Button (McLaren), Nico Hulkenberg (Force India) and Spaniard Fernando Alonso (Ferrari) finished in the following positions. Massa and Pérez did not finish due to an accident between the two on the last lap, when they were fighting for 4th place.
