Another repeater, with a successful formula, the CEPA/CEPB block, recognized as the nostalgic 2.5l 5-cylinder turbo 20V, has 7100rpm of redline and came up with a range of powers for all tastes. From the modest 310hp of the 1st RS Q3, now with 367hp, to the most euphoric 408hp and 8000rpm redline in the Audi Quattro Concept. This Audi block decimated the competition with 347 points, 2nd place in this category got almost half of the 2.5TFSI score.

Engine of the Year 2015 – Category 2.5 -3.0L:

Once again BMW shows again why the inline 6 cylinders have a mystical power that few people understand. The S55 block is a big return from BMW to 6-cylinder blocks, but now with supercharging. The S55 M Power gives us 431hp from 5500rpm to 7300rpm and the torque of 550Nm starts at 1850rpm, remaining constant until 5500rpm. If it was this elasticity that gave him the sweeping 246-point rating, there couldn't be a fairer winner in this class.
