The Porsche 911 (generation 991) received several improvements. As usual at the brand, the changes are more extensive than the design lets you guess.

The Porsche 911 – in Carrera and Carrera S versions – says goodbye to atmospheric engines and gets a 3.0 liter flat-six engine (obviously…) with two turbos – for the first time in the history of these versions. The Porsche 911 Carrera now produces 370hp (+20hp) while the Carrera S version with the same engine starts delivering 420hp (+20hp) thanks to higher output turbos, specific exhaust and more developed electronics. Torque values also rise by 60Nm in the two summers to 450Nm and 500Nm respectively.

Thanks to this new engine, performance has improved and consumption has dropped to very interesting homologation values. Equipped with the PDK dual-clutch gearbox, the 911 Carrera advertises 7.4 litres/100km and the Carrera S 7.7 litres/100km. In the 0-100km/h sprint the numbers also improved: 3.9 seconds for the S and 4.2 seconds for the base version.

Changes are not limited to the driving unit. The chassis was also updated in several points, highlighting the inclusion of a state-of-the-art PASM adaptive suspension system, which aims to improve stability at high speed, the feeling in sporty driving and comfort in traveling rhythms.

In terms of aesthetics, the changes were subtle. The Porsche 911 got new headlights and taillights, redesigned handles and minor changes to the bumpers. Inside, it's the new steering wheel and the new infotainment system that do the homework.
