Rally de Portugal 2013: Mikko Hirvonen wins Lisbon Super Special

Anonim

The Belém area came alive to see Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen win the Lisbon Super Special, with their Citroen DS3 WRC running on the asphalt surrounding Praça do Império in 2.53.6 minutes.

0.9 seconds behind the Finn was Sébastien Ogier (VW Polo R WRC), current world leader. Despite not having won this Super Special, the French driver reinforced his advantage in command of the race, however, the distance to Dani Sordo (Citroen DS3 WRC), second overall and fourth in Lisbon, is just 4.4 seconds .

But the «ShowMan» of the day was Michal Kosciuszko, who saw his MINI WRC play a trick on him by opening the hood during the race. Like Stevie Wonder from rallying, Kosciuszko continued to give music to the Portuguese even with the bonnet up. Obviously, this precalce ended up delaying the Polish pilot, but just for the spectacle he provided in Lisbon, it was worth coming to Portugal.

Also reference to the Portuguese contingent, where Ricardo Moura at the wheel of a Mitsubishi EVO X took the lead right from the start and never let go. Bruno Magalhães still tried to compete with Ricardo Moura but a battery problem, probably caused by the alternator, forced him to stop on the connection to Lisbon, mortgaged, most likely, the fight for the place of best Portuguese.

Razão Automóvel's team was in Lisbon and will publish the best photos as soon as possible. Tomorrow the WRC is going to the Algarve and we'll be there to follow the action up close, so stay tuned.
