DS E-Tense: avant-garde electricity

The DS E-Tense is the new masterpiece of the French brand. His sporty and avant-garde style will make the difference at the Geneva Motor Show.

The highlight of the DS stand this year at the Geneva Motor Show is called E-Tense Concept, it will be 4.72 meters long, 2.08 m wide, 1.29 meters high. Power comes from an electric motor powered by lithium-ion batteries integrated into the chassis base – built in carbon fiber – and allowing 360km of autonomy in cities and 310km in mixed environments. The power of 402hp and 516Nm of maximum torque makes it possible to sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 250km/h.

The DS E-Tense concept, which stole 800 hours from the DS design team, dispensed with the rear window, having been replaced by a technology (through rear cameras) that allows the driver to see the rear. The fog lights were inspired by Formula 1 racing cars and the LEDs were inspired by the 1955 Citröen DS. Also regarding LED daytime running lights, DS created them with the possibility of turning 180º, which we could possibly see in futures cars from the PSA group.
