Sebastian Vettel: the sound of the new Formula 1 "is crap"

Pluri Formula 1 World Champion Sebastian Vettel doesn't like the sound of the new Formula Ones.

In Formula 1 there is rarely a consensus, but when there is, it is never for the best reasons. After Flavio Briatore said “snakes and lizards” of the new Formula 1 sound, it's now Sebastian Vettel's turn to join the chorus of critics: “it sucks. I was on the pit wall during a race and that is now quieter than a bar.”

Many have criticized the lack of noise from this season's new V6 Turbo engines, when compared directly to the sound generated by the V10 and V8. “I don't think it's good for the fans. Formula 1 has to be something spectacular and noise is one of the most important aspects.” Remembering that, “when I was six years old I watched the free practice of the German GP and what I still remember is the noise of passing cars, it seemed that the bench was shaking! It's a shame it's not like that now.”

Could it be that despite the silence provided by the new engines, will anyone listen to the criticisms? Leave us your comment here or on our social networks.
