The Volvo V40 will face the Geneva Motor Show spotlight with renewed arguments. Discover the new Drive-E engines from the Swedish brand.

Volvo has known in recent years another dynamic, with new models, new engines and constant technological updates. The new Drive-E engines are examples of this new dynamic reality for the Swedish brand.

Announced debut on Volvo V40 and V4 Cross Country models – in the rest of the range in May – the new engines in the Drive-E family have surprising numbers.

The new 2-litre, four-cylinder, twin-turbo Drive-E D4 diesel engine manages to deliver 190hp of power and 400Nm of maximum torque, while announcing an average consumption of just 3.3 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of 85 g /km. Very convincing numbers, thanks to the use of i-Art technology, which intelligently controls the pressure of each fuel injector and also the dual supercharging. In the V40 Cross Country the values rise to 4 l/100 km and 104 g/km, still maintaining reference values.

Also new, the new 2-litre T5 petrol engine with 245 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Equipped with this engine, the Volvo V40 achieves consumption of 5.8 l/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 136 g/km. Undoubtedly, two weighty additions to the Volvo range, which will be able to compete with the competition, with new arguments.
