After a year of stoppage due to the pandemic that seems to have managed to stop the world in 2020, the engines are once again making themselves heard in the north of the country for the 54th edition of Rally de Portugal . We remember what happened in 2019, the last edition.

The 2019 Rally de Portugal spanned 311 timed km spread over 20 stages and ended up with a winner, or unprecedented winners: Ott Tänak plus his co-driver Martin Järveoja, driving the Toyota Yaris WRC of the Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT .

Second were Thierry Neuville and Nicolas Gilsoul at the controls of the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC from the Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT.

Despite the podium, the remaining i20 Coupe WRCs, from Sébastien Loeb and Dani Sordo, were not so lucky, with the former withdrawing early in the race and Sordo finishing 23rd overall, with both having identical problems related to the fuel system.

Rounding out the podium were Sébastien Ogier and Julien Ingrassia, riding the Citroën Total WRT Citroën C3 WRC.
