Alpine Ravage. A unique A110 inspired by the world of rallying

Anonim

The Alpine A110 is a sports car with deep roots in rallying and it all started in 1971, the year the French model reached the three podium places in the Monte Carlo Rally, with Ove Andersson and David Stone celebrating their victory.

In 2019, after the French manufacturer had recovered the model for the 21st century, we became aware of the A110 Rally version, derived from the series production A110 but specially adapted for rallies, in a project that was in charge of Signatech.

Now, two years later, an Alpine A110 rally with road clearance arrives. Yes that's right. It is a one-off imagined by its owner — who has already received it but prefers to remain anonymous — and which was made a reality by Ravage Automobile.

Inspired by the Group B models of the World Rally Championship, the Alpine A110 Ravage — as it is called — started from an A110 Premiere Edition and kept the 1.8 four-cylinder engine with 252 hp and 320 Nm of the factory model.

These numbers are enough to take this Alpine Ravage from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5s and up to 250 km/h of top speed. However, those responsible for Ravage indicate that they have already carried out tests that have allowed them to confirm that it is possible to extract up to 320 hp and 350 Nm from this engine, records similar to those offered by the A110 in competition.

Despite its greater width and many aesthetic modifications, the weight of this Gallic sports car has remained unchanged, largely due to a careful selection of the materials to be used. The rear arches and new bumpers are made from carbon fiber and aluminum and are the result of a complete CAD and clay modeling process.

Also at the rear, the new direct exhaust system also stands out, and in profile are the 18” wheels — in aluminum and stainless steel — inspired by those used by the original Alpine rally's that stand out, as well as the visors in Red.

At the front, a completely redesigned grille, yellow headlamps, long-range LED spotlights from Cibié and three stripes that extend along the bonnet — towards the rear — in the colors of the French flag: blue, white and red.

Ground connections were not forgotten either, as this Alpine A110 Ravage has shock absorbers with two adjustment levels and wider tracks, which allowed the installation of a set of Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires that promise to do wonders for stability and by the traction of this sports car.

By now you must have realized that this project did not come cheap to the owner who commissioned it and they couldn't be more right. Ravage reveals that this Alpine rally is valued at 115 000 euros and does not close the door on the production of more copies.

For now, this unit that we show is unique, but if there are enough interested parties, Ravage has already announced that it is willing to make a limited series of the model.
