Unveiled last year, the Citroën Ami is the latest member of the electric quads “family” that has Renault Twizy as its best-known member, REVA G-Wiz one of its pioneers, and new Micro Electric (or ME) a … unknown.

Designed for urban use and “environmentally friendly”, and being quadricycles (which have several legal limitations, depending on the class), none of these vehicles is successful, but which of the four will be faster? To find out, the British What Car? he put the four models together and decided to put them to the test.

The Citroën Ami has 8 hp and 70 km of autonomy (the only light quadricycle in the group); the Twizy has 17 hp and 72 km of autonomy; the ME has 10 hp and 155 km of autonomy and the pioneer REVA G-Wiz presents itself with 15 hp and had, once again, 80 km of autonomy.

With such modest numbers, the “fight” seems to be more about which is the slowest among the slow ones than figuring out which is the fastest — not even the lorry start-up races seem to be that slow…
