Pagani Huayra R. The most extreme of the Huayra will have a naturally aspirated engine

Pagani Huayra was released in 2011, but like Zonda, it seems to have eternal life. Since then, we already know several versions of the Italian super sports car, and now another one is in development, the Huayra R.

The announcement appeared in a video of the Autostyle Design Competition, a design event and competition that began on September 24 and will continue until December, with a series of digital workshops and conferences — pandemic oblige.

It was Horacio Pagani himself, founder and leader of Pagani, who made a short advertisement in one of the videos published by the event:

We got to know about mr. I paid for three things. First, the ad that motivates this article: a Pagani Huayra R is coming. If we take the 2007 Zonda R as a point of reference, one of the most extreme Zonda Rs and exclusive to circuits — only surpassed by the Zonda Revolucion — we can catch a glimpse of what could be the Huayra R.

There are 13 years of technological progress separating the two machines, which raises expectations for the new super sports car for circuits. As a reference, Zonda R managed a time of 6min47s at the Nürburgring — Huayra R should do better.

Second, and perhaps most surprising, is that the Huayra R will do without the services of AMG's 6.0 twin-turbo V12 (M 158) — it delivers between 730 hp and 800 hp, depending on the version — the engine that has always powered it so far. .

In its place will appear an unprecedented naturally aspirated engine. What engine will this be? For now, no one knows except Pagani herself. We don't know what its capacity, number of cylinders, power or how many rpm it will be... We don't even know if it will have any connection with the wizards of Affalterbach.

We will have to wait for the revelation of the Pagani Huayra R, which brings us to the third point. When will we meet the new Huayra R? It's coming soon, with Horacio Pagani moving forward with the November 12th date.
