With the conclusion of the merger between Groupe PSA and FCA, which gave rise to the new Stellantis car group, the “chair dance” begins, which is to say, there will be new faces ahead of several of the 14 car brands that are part of of the new group. One such case is that of Linda Jackson , who takes the place of general manager of the Peugeot brand.

Linda Jackson takes on the role formerly occupied by Jean-Philippe Imparato, who is leaving Peugeot to take over at Alfa Romeo.

Peugeot's new managing director is, however, no stranger to the role of being ahead of an automobile brand. If her name sounds familiar, it's because she was the one who led Citroën from 2014 to the end of 2019, having been responsible for the repositioning and commercial growth of the historic French brand.

Linda Jackson's career at Groupe PSA begins, however, further back in 2005. She started as CFO of Citroën in the UK, assuming the same role during 2009 and 2010 at Citroën France, being promoted, in the same year, to General Manager from Citroën in the United Kingdom and Ireland, before taking over the destinations of the French brand in 2014.

Prior to joining Groupe PSA, Linda Jackson already had extensive professional experience in the automotive industry, in fact, her entire professional career has been spent in this industry since she earned an MBA (Master of Business Administration) at the University of Warwick. She held various positions in the financial and commercial area for the Jaguar, Land Rover and (defunct) Rover Group and MG Rover Group brands, before joining the French group.

Also of note, in 2020, she was appointed to lead the development of Groupe PSA's portfolio of volume brands to better define and differentiate the positioning of these brands — now with 14 brands under one roof, a role that seems to continue to make perfect sense to exist at Stellantis.
